8 Reasons NOT to Buy Stillnight (Read This First)

We'd rather you skip Stillnight than buy it expecting something it doesn't do. So here are the honest reasons not to order it, all eight. If you get to the end and none of them apply to you, it's probably worth a try.
Reason #1: "I've already tried magnesium. It didn't work."
You've earned that doubt. Maybe it was glycinate capsules that upset your stomach. Maybe a magnesium oil that stung so badly you threw it out. Maybe it just didn't do anything.
Here's the thing: most of those were sold as a way to knock you out at bedtime. Stillnight isn't that. It's a calm two-minute routine for the moment you wake up at 3am, so you're not lying there with your brain switched on or reaching for your phone.
So if you want something that puts you to sleep, don't buy Stillnight. It isn't a sleep aid, and we won't pretend it is.
Reason #2: "Isn't this just magnesium oil in a nicer bottle?"
Fair question. Side by side:
| Typical magnesium oil | Stillnight |
|---|---|
| Often warns the itch is "normal" | Adds panthenol (vitamin B5) and allantoin for the skin |
| Sold for cramps and athletes | Made for the 3am wake-up, with a card that tells you what to do |
| One scent, take it or leave it | Light lavender |
If your current magnesium oil already feels fine on your skin and you have a 3am routine you like, keep it. Don't buy Stillnight.
Reason #3: "Does it actually absorb into my body?"
Here's the part most brands skip. The main scientific review of magnesium through the skin found the evidence weak. Skin is built to keep things out. So we don't claim Stillnight raises your magnesium levels or soaks into your bloodstream.
If absorption is the reason you'd buy it, don't. We make it for a different reason: a calm, repeatable routine for the minute you wake up, with your hands busy and your phone out of reach.
Reason #4: "Will it make me sleep through the night?"
We don't promise that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Menopause nights are complicated, and a mist doesn't change your hormones.
What it does give you is a plan. The 3AM Reset card in the box: feet out from the covers, mist your calves, rub each calf slowly for about a minute, turn the clock face down, breathe. About two minutes, and you never leave the bed.
If you need a guarantee of eight straight hours, don't buy it. If you want something better to do at 3am than scroll, keep reading.
Reason #5: "Will it sting like the last one?"

Stillnight has panthenol (vitamin B5) and allantoin added for the skin. But everyone's skin is different, and over-45 skin is often drier.
So do a wrist test before you use it anywhere else: two sprays on the inside of your wrist, then wait two minutes. If you have very reactive skin, eczema, or broken skin where you'd spray it, don't use it there.
Reason #6: "Can I use it with HRT or my other medications?"
Stillnight goes on your skin. There's nothing to swallow, and it doesn't replace anything your doctor has you on. Lots of women want something for 3am whether they're on HRT or not.
That said, don't buy Stillnight instead of talking to your doctor if your sleep has fallen apart, if you're exhausted no matter what, or if you have other symptoms that worry you. And if you're unsure about anything on the label, show it to your doctor or pharmacist first.
Reason #7: "I can't stand strong smells at night."
Stillnight has one scent: a light lavender from lavender flower extract. It’s meant to be soft, not perfumey. If any scent at night bothers you, or you’re hoping for a strong spa smell, this isn’t the one for you.
Reason #8: "What if it's just not for me?"
Then you don't keep paying for it. Stillnight comes with a 60-night guarantee. Use it at bedtime and at 3am for two months. If you don't love your nights with it, you get your money back.
That's the last reason not to buy it: there isn't much risk in trying.
Still here? Then it might be for you.
